Shamanic Training - Advanced [6 sessions]

You know shamanism, know about trance, about your helpers and you perform rituals. But then what? What is your life mission, your calling? That's what this deepening is about: giving personal shape to your shamanism, finding your direction within it. The tradition of the Wolves of Khakassia, also called classical shamanism, can support you in this, as can our Lowland ancestors.

Shamanism brings us closer to nature, each other, and our ancestors. It brings us a deep sense of unity and connection.

We restore balance within ourselves, around us, and we learn to see the deeper layers of the world(s). We receive strength from helper spirits and natural forces so we can also help our suffering brothers and sisters; together we create the community.

I learned my foundation in shamanism from wonderful and exceptional teachers such as Linda Wormhoudt, Susanne Hazen and Astrid Klijzing, Peter de Haan, Frigga Asraaf, my dear friend Erika, and Klara Adalena. I am very grateful to them for this and have continued to build on it in my own, personal way. In recent years, I gradually came into contact with traditional shamanism, particularly Siberian, and met my current teacher, shaman Morsuk. I apprenticed with him and received initiation into the traditional lineage of the "Spirit of Wolf" from the Karagai family. Therefore, I work within both classical shamanism and core shamanism within the Northwest European tradition and strive to help revive it.

This training focuses on the latter variant of shamanism, but I will, of course, discuss the Wolf tradition.

After mastering the basics of shamanism, it's time, after a one- to three-month break following your basic course, to deepen your knowledge. This deepening is the focus of this follow-up to the basic course and is for anyone who has mastered the basic principles and techniques such as trance, protection, cleansing, and grounding, is aware of the worlds, can connect with them, and has developed a bond with one or more helper spirits.

It's a logical continuation of the foundational knowledge I provided in the basic course and a precursor to the final section of this block of three shamanic courses, which will give you a firm footing to work on the modules that will follow, such as "healing," "working with the underworld," and "shamanic craft," to name just a few.

Building this solid foundation consists of three parts:

1. The Basic Course (roots) (so you've already completed it)

2. The Deepening Course (this course)

2. Spirit of Wolf participation [possibly as a next step]

I don't teach my shamanism dogmatically. This means that anything I teach you that you experience differently, or your spirits tell you differently, you are free to follow and accept. I believe it's important to encourage the freedom of personal experience and connection with the spirits in everyone who walks the shamanic path with me, while still allowing me to transmit my work within a living tradition.

This advanced course is a 6-part course with 1 lesson per month and teaches you, among other things, the following topics (not in order):

- Practical deepening of everything from the basic course

- Deepening your worldview and way of life, integrating shamanic and animistic worldviews into your daily life or work

- Deepening your contact with your spirit helpers (power animals, ancestors, etc.)

- Structural offerings and ritual

- Deepening trance work and rituals

- Deepening your contact with the other worlds (above, below, and in the middle)

- Learning and applying various forms of oracles

- Working for the community and the landscape

- Making amulets and Eerens (spirit houses)

- Exploring indigenous traditions on a level beyond that of the mind

- Connecting with the land: the animals, plants, trees, rivers, hills, etc.

- Focusing on a specific direction in your shamanic work and expanding on it

Each lesson, I provide a bit of theory and knowledge that we'll practice to acquire skills, and I'll also give you exercises to take home to gain further insight into what you've learned and integrate it into your daily life. My shamanism tries to stay as close to home as possible, so you'll learn largely about what was practiced here in the Low Countries, with excursions to other countries around us to gain a broader perspective and through insights into the living tradition of Spirit of Wolf.

You will always connect with the land you live on, your own spirits and ancestors, and the energy here in the Low Countries. You are welcome to participate throughout the entire course in the fire ritual from the Siberian tradition of the Heavenly Wolves, from the lineage of Karagai: the Kamlanie.

What can you do after this course?

After this course:

- You will be able to find your own niche in shamanism and apply it practically to your life mission/work

Practical:

* Each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours

* 6 sessions in total, approximately 2 of which are outdoors in nature

* The intake interview is free if you have already participated in a Course with me

* In this program, you will be given homework, things to work on yourself

that will be immediately useful in daily life. Personal commitment is required,

as is a personal connection between student and teacher.

* We will also be in online contact about your assignments.

* Normally, one session per month or three weeks is reasonable.

* This amounts to approximately six months of one-on-one shamanic guidance.
